About K2 Counseling

Compassionate care grounded in clinical experience

At K2 Counseling, we provide a safe, respectful, and supportive space where people can feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. We support individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of mental health, relationship, and life challenges, offering counselling that is practical, personalised, and deeply human.

Dual Expertise: Nurse and Counselor

A Unique Blend of Nursing and Counseling Expertise

K2 Counseling is led by a Registered Nurse with 25 years of experience across public hospitals, aged care, disability services, and mental health support, combined with specialised qualifications in counseling, mental health, alcohol and other substances, and disability care.

This dual expertise allows us to understand not only emotional and psychological challenges, but also the physical, medical, and social factors that impact a person’s wellbeing. It means counseling is informed, trauma-aware, and grounded in real-world health experience.

Clients often value this holistic approach, especially when navigating complex situations involving health conditions, disability, medication, trauma, or crisis.

We are also led by a Mental Health Ambassador from the Mental Health Federation Australia.

Support That Fits Your Life

A Holistic, Person-Centred Approach

We believe that effective counseling looks at the whole person — mind, body, environment, relationships, and life circumstances. No two people are the same, and therapy should never be one-size-fits-all.

At K2 Counseling, every session is tailored to your needs, goals, cultural background, emotional capacity, and personal experiences. Support is flexible, respectful, and focused on what feels safe and achievable for you.

Experience When It Matters Most

Real-Life Experience Supporting People Through Crisis

Our background includes extensive experience supporting people through trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, family conflict, domestic violence, disability-related challenges, aged care transitions, and major life changes.

We have worked closely with NDIS participants, families, and support teams, and understand the complexity of navigating systems, assessments, and psychosocial supports. This experience allows us to advocate, guide, and support clients with confidence and clarity.
